Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Happening this year on the 28th from West 77th Street and Central park to Sixth Avenue in front of Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square, we welcome 22 floats of iconic character balloons. Our favorite was the Goku from Dragon Ball balloon! It was super exciting to see our favorite performers of popular Broadway shows. You may have even caught a glimpse of famous celebrity Sabrina Carpenter on one of the floats! Even rain couldn’t rain on our parade, providing just how nothing can stop the parade from being a showstopper!

What do we love New York for? All the different blends of people and traditions we get to immerse ourselves in. One of the attractions that compels tourists to visit no matter how repetitive it is, is this annual parade! Every Thanksgiving on the 28th, from 9am to 12pm, both tourists and locals witness the great Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, with the numbers of attendees swelling up to 3.5 million people and spectators at home to 50 million.

Dating back to 1924, the parade has a long history with 94 years of celebration in Manhattan, where residents and visitors alike travel by subway, bus, and ferry to celebrate the Thanksgiving spirit with beautifully decorated floats and gigantic balloons. The festive atmosphere is always filled with gratitude and a pinch of gift giving as countless masses line the streets to watch the parade.
