On the morning of November 15th, a small meowing kitten was found outside. The kitten was quickly taken into Mrs. De Jesus´s office, where it quickly became a school celebrity with kids lining up to get a glance at them. To the student, the kitten was a welcomed break from the constant tests and college applications. One eager-eyed student, Sophomore Alyana Enderes, said that “it was very adorable, but it felt surprisingly mundane to casually pet a cat in the middle of the school day- like the kitten’s calm nature towards strangers felt very familiar and normal as if it had been at the school for much longer.” Despite many students volunteering to adopt the cat, Sophomore Janeeta Razia took the cat home and they are now living with a family friend of theirs.
